check engine light not coming on when key on 850

When the key is on so that all the lights in the instrument cluster come on, the check engine light does not. How hard is this to fix? Also what is a good source for getting hoses that run to the turbo?

Its a 95 850 turbo wagon.

    If you purchased the car recently most likely the bulb has been removed so potential buyers don't see it.
    I have seen this happen at least 10 times, not only on Volvos.

    Are you the original owner of the car? Has the light worked since you've had it? Probably just a bulb problem then. Unless some previous owner removed the bulb because it was ON all the time and they didn't want to repair it.
