CEL 0243 Wastegate Solenoid Malfunction S70

1998 S70 GLT
Driving home tonigh car stalls, CEL light comes on. Look around under the hood for a monment,nothing obvious, try starting it, and it starts right up. I drive it to Autozone, then check the cel, its a 0243, Wastegate Solenoid Malfunction. I have no idea what that is or what it does. The car started and drove home just fine.
What is this, what problems does it cause, and will it cause my car to stall again soon if I can't get it fixed right away?
