Automatic Transmission Noise - '93 850 GLT 850

Gents,

Hope you can provide some advice.
A whistling noise is coming from what I believe is the tranny just before each gear change when the engine is cold (just after start-up on cold Canadian mornings). Duration of the whistling is from 1 to 3 seconds depending on acceleration at each up-shift and only lasts about 3 minutes after start-up until the engine is warm.
A tranny flush was done 10k km ago and is still redish.
