2001 V70XC - Lower tail lamp replacement

Hi folks,
Well I have outlived my 240 and the wife wanted a V70XC. I have to change out the lower tail lamp - driver side. It looks like the moulding is in the way and i cannot get to the lower tail lamp through the speaker hole. I am afraid that the moulding will not go back neatly. Any tips on moulding removal?
