This is completely not Volvo related, but that sometimes happens on these boards. I am hoping that somebody here has used Intuit TurboTax for their income tax returns for the last ten years or more.

For a few years, I let my sister do my taxes and then later, I used another tax preparer. A few months back, I got notice that the State I used to live in cannot find some of my returns and demands that I produce those returns or refile them. A lot of my records are gone after a move out of the country, and sis no longer has the computer she did my taxes on. IRS got me copies of my W-2s but if I cannot recreate the same deductions that got me small refunds those years - they’re going to hit me for interest and penalties on any amounts that would appear to be underpaid. They will graciously estimate the amount of $1000 for each year that I do not supply. I’m hoping that using the same software will help me get the same result that was originally submitted.

So; who has got copies of the obsolete State Personal tax information software for 1997 to 2001 collecting dust, and any version of TurboTax that would run those annual update files. Intuit is charging for each of those years as though they were new updates and they’re too old to even be on the regular website and I have only found two of the years even available on eBay right now. Have to do this quickly.
