Front axle replacement 850 1995

Replaced my axle about 300 miles ago with a DSS axle from FCP. Took a bit of advice here, except for what I found out too late (that the cheaper new axles frequently leak at the seal, etc). I had already bought the axle when I saw the posts here. I went out and bought a new seal, but since I had had the old axle in and out a few times, I decided the old seal was still in good shape (didn't leak), and didn't want to tempt fate. I also didn't see my indie replace the seal on the other side when he replaced that axle. So, my report is that so far, so good. No leak and the axle does what it should do. Hope to say the same at 20K.

Want to thank the folks here again. Removing the sway bar link and control arm bushing bolts made for a quick job, but the manual's method of removing the lower ball joint instead of bushing bolts looks like it should be superior.
