Well, I'm seriously considering retiring my 93 850 with 314,000 miles. I found a nice, clean A6 Avant Quatro with 102k miles at a local dealership (and they're even willing to shell out $500 trade-in for my 850. Suckas!)
I'm used to dealing with high-maintenance European cars, but I've never owned an Audi. While I'm aware that they have a bad reputation like many Euro cars, I'm wondering how much worse it will be for reliability. I know that the front bumper comes off for pretty much every engine service from the serp belt on up. So far, it looks like the cost of parts is about the same.
I'm pretty nervous about this purchase mainly because I have so much to learn about this brand's idiosyncrasies.
Anyone's thoughts?
