I got all the parts to do my timing belt on my 1998 S70 turbo. Hydraulic tensioner, tensioner and idler rollers. Got it torn down and replaced everything. All went to plan, just like the instructions say until...
I got to the part where you turn the engine over by hand and make sure everything still lines up. I turned a little ways past the marks the first time, so I went to turn the engine backwards, the belt slipped on the crank pulley a few teeth, and then a few more before I realized what was going on. The cams are still in time with each other, but I cant figure out how to get the crank mark lined back up. I think it is way out, because I can feel the engine bind when I turn it by hand, and can't turn it any further (it's not just cylinder compression I'm feeling). How can I set this straight?
