PNP or Neutral Switch?

Fellow Bricksters:

Had a trans problem w/ my 94 855 recently, and thought that i read here about others w/ similar probs. when cold out, it seemed to be slipping - not shifting into 2nd, but revving. after a few minutes, it'd shift correctly. Is this the PNP switch gone bad? or the Neutral switch? are they the same thing?

Any help appreciated,
