I have a beautiful, bone stock, '97 850R with 93K miles. 50% of the time I can stick my foot in it, the boost gauge is pegged and the power is VERY impressive. Other times, when I go for passing gear, the boost needle hovers at around 2 o'clock and the engine performance is not so impressive.
I know that the computer will bleed off boost if necessary. My independant Volvo guy suggests that this is what is happening. This behavior seems very eratic. One minute the car runs like a raped ape, the next minute it's like I'm driving a GLT.
Any assistance is appreciated!
