I am considering purchasing a late 90's V70 or XC70 but have read many mediocre to poor reviews online. Are these model Volvos lemons to be avoided? I've only driven 240s and 940s so don't know much. Is an 850 a better car? Regular V70 less hassle than the AWD XC70? 2nd Gen XC (2000-onward)any better? Really in the dark and would appreciate some brickboard wisdom on 1998-1999 XC70s. Thanks a ton.......
