I have a 2001 V70 T5 with about 85000 miles on it. From listening to the forums I should be thinking of changing out the timing belt now instead of waiting for the scheduled time. I've read many threads, and in checking Bay 13, it looked like a rather easy job. Well that was until I started looking up the parts I'd like to replace besides the timing belt itself. It seems most of what I read was for earlier models, so now I'm not so confident! Could someone recommend the parts I should replace while in there, and if this model is within the same capabilities of earlier models that used the hydraulic powered tensioner? Is there a "how to" like the Bay 13 for the 850 for my newer V70? I'd also be interested in comments on recommended spark plugs for this car. FCP Groton showed a set of Volvo plugs at $37 and Bosch platinum at less than $3 each. Why should I go with the more expensive? What have other members used that works well in this car? Thanks an advance!
