It's a '98 V70XC w/210K. Normally I would run from an AWD but the price ($1800) has me interested. I know I know, I should be going for the best and newest one I can afford, but maybe I'm a glutton for punishment. I know about the bevel gear. Do I need to ask about the ETM, or did that come later?
Text from ad:
"For sale 1998 Volvo V70XC crosscountry awd. Car runs and looks great has new brakes/rotors all around, new tires, inner and outer tie rod ends, lower control arms/ball joints, sway bar links, serp. belt, and complete power steering rack. NEEDS front struts, motor mount, and has a small transmission leak. This is a very clean solid running car with 210k on it and is nothing for a Volvo..."
Is there such a thing as a "small" transmission leak in these beasts? Don't you love how every single classified ad mentions "250+K miles is nothing for a Volvo" and "these cars regularly see twice this mileage" even when the car is on its last legs?
Have a weekend!
