roof rack S40-V40 2001

My wife has a new S40. On the roof, hidden under some black track covers is what I hope to be a roof mounting system. But, neither Yakima nor Thule seem to have anything but "feet" that are placed on the roof and paint itself. Is there a system that mounts to the tracks instead of these feet?
