low beam = low brains S70

Wife reported headlight out, driver's side. Confirmed w/ idiot light on dash. My wife is not the idiot. I take on challenge. Go to parts house. Purchase headlite. R & R dead headlight. Feeling good about myself. Turn key to illumine new light. Doesnt't work. Not feeling good about myself. Ck connections. Try high beam. It works. Hmmmm. Install "old" headlight. Same scenario. Could be a fuse. Ck fuse grid. LH low beam lamp is fuse #21, a 15 amp. Install new fuse in slot #21. No change. Self-esteem still low. I realize I need help from the army of brickboard specialists. THANK YOU. (I need to win my wife's confidence back, too :) )
