Driving in wet conditions causes high pitched whine. V70-XC70 2004

Nearly every time we drive the car in excessively wet conditions such as heavy rain or snow with slush, there is a very high pitched whine that occurs under the body of the car. It will continue until the wet conditions diminish.
As usual, the dealer has no explanation for this occurance.

Any ideas?
