Which tires should I get? V70-XC70 1998

I currently have Michelin XGT V4. I don't know if these were the stock tires but I believe they are. I am surprised at only 24K they are pretty worn and have about 6 - 10K left. But I guess the tread wear is more on V rated tires. I see places like tirerack.com have tons of V and Z rated tires of this size (205/55/16) and the prices run the range of like $70 to $200. What do other people prefer? I'm looking for all-season and live in the North East (New York) so winter is a concern. Thanks.
