ray,
I replaced the original Michelin Pilots and went with michelin MX-4 energy on the philosophy that dry traction isn't an issue, but marginal weather (rain, frost) traction is. Better tracking and noise than the pilot's, much better wear so far. After all, this isn't a Mustang or Corvette.
I also have Goodyear Ultragrip snows on their own rims for winter, and don't have to worry about bending a $400 alloy rim on a hidden curb.....
They aren't much noisier, provide much better traction than all seasons and last longer than Blizzak. The increased wear makes the $800 Cdn.(including rims) much easier to justify.
Yannis - how much did it cost to put the dual exhaust on your AWD, and did you see any performance benefit? (i.e. was it worth the cash)?
Regards,
Doug
