odd electricals in my 2004 XC90 XC90 2004

Upon startup today I heard a faint clicking on the left side of the dash, and odd messaging. "Brake failure: slow to safe stop" on left, and intermittent red "brake" flashed on right. Turn signal worked fine signaling right, but didn't work signaling left! Stopped and restarted; all seems fine.

Thoughts?
