I had an ABS issue and pulled the brake position sensor a while back. Ever since I reinstalled the sensor, the brake pedal is hard after the car has been off for a while. What I mean by hard is that when you go to press the pedal with the car off, you can barely press it in. It seems the system looses all of its vacuum while it is off. Once started the pedal becomes soft again, and the car drives fine. I thought I had a vacuum leak at the sensor, but I don't hear any hissing, and spraying it with started fluid didn't change the RPMs. Any recommendations as to what could be causing the hard pedal after the car has been off for a while?
Thanks in adavance.
