side molding V70-XC70 2001

Greetings. I'm pleased with my sleek new V70 but wonder whether the alluring shape of the side profile (wide at the top, narrow in the middle, wide at the bottom) will lead to a big problem with dings and dents. Does anyone have a fix for this (e.g., some decent molding that could be put along the upper curve)? Unfortunately, the cure might be worse than the disease in this case.
