A few weeks back, in response to another post about the lambda dash light coming on, I mentioned that I was taking my car in for service for exactly that symptom. Today, I had the car serviced while in Toronto, and the cause of the light appears to be a failed Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. When the light first came on, the engine temperature was low, and I had the thermostat replaced. That corrected the engine temperature problem, but the warning light remained lit. How the low engine temperature could fry the temperture sensor I don't know, but that seems to be the case.
