"Service" Light 850 1997

I am the new proud owner of a pre-enjoyed 1997 850 wagon. It is my first Volvo. The "Service" light in the lower righthand side of the dash comes on for 2min after start-up. The owners manual states that only the dealership can reset this light. In the past, I have owned several BMWs. Through several aftermarket sources, I had obtained a reset divice to reset the "service light". Is there one available for Volvo? Or is there a way to reset myself?
