Hello all. I have been having a misfire issue with my 96 850 turbo. I did the wires, cap, rotor, and plugs, and spent considerable time researching on the various boards what is good and what to stay away from. Well after doing those basics I was still having intermittent misfire.
I read that if you idle the car at night and can see any time of spark at the ignition coil that means it is bad. Well I did that and could see a very faint flash of light now and then. So I went out today and bought a Karlyn ignition coil.
After installing I have not noticed the misfire (although it was intermittent before so I am not 100% confident problem is fixed -- time will tell).
However, what I am noticing is that the Karlyn ignition coil makes a very audible clicking noise as it works and I did not hear this from the original coil that I was using.
I assume that is the sound of the electricity firing but is that normal to hear?
Thanks in advance.
