ECU 850 1994

How can you tell if an ECU has been replaced with an aftermarket upgrade ?

The ECU in slot 1 has Volvo stamped on it and 5.3

The ECU in slot 2 has the following numbers and A.2

CPO5

T94043166

PO6842209

1T26S3149

I cannot ask the previous owner and the car lot has no idea.

The latest error code (3-2-5) suggests an ECU memory loss. Is this a major problem ??
