White Block oil separator S70 1998

In the middle of replacing all the vacuum lines and the entire flame trap and oil separator system on this GLT. I'm about to bolt the new oil separator to the block with the new connector tube, which is metallic. There is no indication which side goes where! I'm assuming the side with the rubber "lip" goes to the block. Anyone care to comment? I cannot find a good diagram on line that shows the newer style metal tube.
