I just bought a 1996 950 Turbo and there are some problems/ issues that I need to fix, and fix quickly. The major one is that in the morning there is no gas pressure and I have to put the key into the mid position and wait for about 15 seconds before starting the car, it sometimes starts right up other time it takes a little before it turns over.
I am assuming that there is a leak in the system and air is getting in, beside the starting problem when driving in heavy traffic, stop and go for a while it hesitates at the lower speeds and almost stalls.
The other day after driving a while and stopping into a store it did stall several times but then started right up like nothing was wrong.
Any ideas where to start? I had this same problem with a 1997 850 and the repair shop “replaced the entire fuel system” at a cost of about a grand 6 years ago.
