Headlights Replacement 850 96

Hi,

I recently purchased my first Volvo - an '96 850R, and find it as exhilarating as my 67 Mustang F-Back. However, I would like some assistance on a couple of questions;

1.) is there a 'trick' to replace the headlights?

2.) will xenon bulbs work without damaging the wiring?
