backup light switch 850 1994

Where is it?! I have looked on the transmission from below pretty well assuming it would be there based upon the very general instructions found in the Chilton manual. Or is it on the top side where the shift cables go in? I have replaced one of these switches before on a truck and was expecting to find and replace it easily.
