Irrespective of the setting of the air recirculation button, outside air
rushes into my 97 850. It has been working properly for about 3 years,
before this. I took it to the local Volvo dealership - on the first trip,
they said nothing was wrong, and this was normal. It was the end of the
day, so I took it back again. This time, they pulled out the glove
compartment and said the flaps were closing correctly. Took the technician
for a ride in my car and a similar 850, and he acknowledged that there was
something wrong with my car. Took it back a third time - they said they
"fixed" it, but still the same problem.
It is annoying in traffic because you cannot keep the smoke / pollution out.
And it used to work for 3 years. Obviously, this Volvo dealership is unable
to resolve this. Any advice before I take it to a different dealership?
Anyone else experience this before, and if so, how was it fixed? Thx in
advance.
