ETM Replacement V70-XC70 2000

After 175K miles my ETM is just starting to give me problems. I'm going to pull it out these weekend. Wondering what the best option is these days for repairing/rebuilding/replacing it?

Also, while I'm in the area, the positive battery cables could use replacing. Are there any thicker pre-made cables out there or should I just go with a new factory cable again?

Is this also a good time to service the PVC breather? I tried the glove test on the oil cap and there seems to be good vacuum in the crankcase. What does one do to clean it out if it is easy to get to at this time.

With age, the black wire shields on the harness around the front and side of the engine have all become brittle or even broken off in some cases. Is there an OE quality or improved quality replacement wire shield I should use on the bare wires while I am at it.

The V70 is still running great so I don't mind putting in some extra effort to keep it up an running for a good while longer.

Thanks
