For the last few weeks the outside temperature has been from 15F to 40F. I’ve noticed that the engine temp gauge is reading much lower then it’s normal dead centered position, this is especially true at highway speeds. While it is still in the “normal” section and the heat inside the car is defiantly still working the needle is about 10 – 15 degrees off center (these are angle degrees this time).
I don’t remember seeing this last winter. Is this normal, and if not what is the major malfunction.
The car seems to be running just fine and there is plenty of power.
The coolant and oil levels look good.
Are there any specific signs of trouble that I should look for?
