Just got a 1997 850 T-5 from a local (Long Island) Volvo dealer and I'm thrilled!!! It's a sedan with about 57,000 miles on it and I paid $12,500. It's in great shape, having gone through the process to be a Volvo Certified P/O Car, but because I got it in Jan '02 it was not eligible for CPO status. Hell if I care - I'll pick up a warranty for a grand or so and still be ahead of the game. My other car is a Saab, another swede, but the similarities end there. I'm amazed at how much nicer a ride the Volvo is - after less than a week, I'm sold on Volvo.
