Drivers side creaking door pillar V70-XC70 1998

I have a 98 V70 Wagon which has a continous creaking coming from inside the door pillar (the one between the front and read door). It seems to be coming from where the belt comes out and I have gripped both the belt and the pillar to see if that would stop it but no luck, Clearly it is something inside but knowing that there may be SIPS in there I am reluctant to start taking it apart. Does anybody have any advice what this might be and how I can fix it...
