Hi Everyone,

On a recent trip, I shifted from D to 3rd on a long decent. Well, the up arrow light began flashing. Soon afterwards, I noticed a lag in performance; the passing gear would not fully engage, the turbo didn't seem to kick in as fully as normal, maybe 80%, the car would "cough" every now and then (not very often), and while in cruise control, it would lose speed on hill climbs. The light stopped flashing the next day after I warmed the car up, shut it off and restarted. I've had the "gear shilft selector switch" code come up one time in the past, but it hasn't in subsequent visits to the repair shop (I have a persistant EGR problem). I haven't checked the codes since this started so I don't know if it's shown up again. Any ideas?

Also, there is a problem with the central locking control. My car likes to unlock itself, both when using a key or the remote. I've actually pulled the fuse to solve the problem, so I'm locking and unlocking the car manually, which is fine, but... I brought it up to a mechanic once, but he didn't seem to know what it could be.
