Dynamat - RAAMmat sound damping 850

I have a 97 855R. It seems to me that I get a lot of road noise, part of which is due to my tires. I'm sure all that glass doesn't help either.

I am considering installing a roll of RAAMmat (similar to Dynamat)under the carpet and on the doors and roof. I notice that a lot of high end audio guys swear by these products and insist on installing it in their cars.

Has anyone ever installed this stuff? Did it work for you? What kind of improvement should I expect?
