I just had my car detailed, so I guess if you're from MI you can blame me for the snow. The check eng. light is now on. I did not have the eng cleaned. I believe it has something to do with them cleaning the center console and going back and forth over the trans control switch (winter,economy,sport). The reason I say this is because the arrow on the dash was blinking as were the lights on the switch (economy or sport). I turned the car off and then on again and all the blinking stoped but the check eng light stayed on. Any Ideas? How much can I expect to pay to have light reset w/a diagnosis? I've read on this board that the light will reset itself is this true? Thanks in advance for any help. 1996 Volvo 850 2.4l n/a.
