The last few weeks and only intermittently, my V70 has once or twice sputtered for a second when I slowed to a stop. Never stalls and always idles fine immediately following sputter.

I have not seen any noticeable pattern - i.e. it had just rained or the planets were in alignment, etc.

Car just hit 50k

Gas:
The fuel filter is fine. no other problems to indicate prob w/ fuel. Car never goes below 1/4 tank

Air:
Have plenty of it. Filter is fine

Spark:
New OEM plugs - properly gapped. New wires with good resistance.

Back in the olden days I'd have suspected the fuel filter or the pickup in the tank, but again all looks ok.

Any ideas?
