Sorry to post on such a common subject, but the question is somewhat different than I've seen in the past.
I had both rear door panels replaced under warranty at 11.5K and now that I'm out of warranty at 45k one of the rear panels is bubbled again. My Volvo Weasles have said "no" to replacement at their cost. It seems obvious to me that the repair was not done properly and should be done again at their cost. I've heard some say that certain complaints made under warranty are valid when out of warranty. I know this goes against all logic since I shouldn't expect them to replace it every 30K miles, however, my point would be that they didn't fix it at all. The same problem has occured again and they should be responsible for an adequate repair, not a temporary fix that lasts just long enough to get me beyond my warranty.
Any recent inquiries about the quality or reliability of the S70 should take notice and beware. If you haven't had problems, you're going to have them. If the car you buy today doesn't have any problems, it will. Every time I hear about people looking at cars with low miles and low cost, it's no wonder. They're crap!!!!
