Every now and again my car makes a noise between a clunk and a pop from the front pass side. It only happens after I've been parked awhile and pulling out. It doesn't seem to be a CV. If it was in the rear I would say it was a parking brake shoe hung up and breaking loose... thats what it sounds like. What could it be?

Also, I've been told the tie rod end on that side is getting weak but still ok. I've also noticed the ball joint boot is starting to show age and is dry rotting some (no sine of loosing grease yet though). Probably time to overhaul the front end.
