Sorry to post again on the same issue. First, I would like to thank all of you that replied. For what happended to me please see the post with same subject on this page.
I have decided to fight the case. However, a quick call to the insurance company indicated that I was denied of the claim was because of "altered original equipment." No more details were given to me as the people from the inspection department were not available.
I am speculating they are denying my claim because I have 205/55/-16 tires on the 16 wheel, which is different from the original 205/50/16 tires on these wheels. I do not believe that the slightly taller tires could have caused the severe damage to the front suspension system. The damage was from the rough road servicearound where I live, a cause that's covered by the particular policy I purchased.
My questions are as follows:
1. Am I still on the legal groud to fight this case, based on their claim that my car has been "altered" ?
2. Anyone had any success in fighting these "warranty claim" cases? If so, do you know of any good lawyers in the NY area?
thank you very much for helping out
