Motor mounts 850 1994

Can anyone offer advice? I want to know how to tell if motor mounts need replacing. How much should one expect an 850 engine to move, say, when alternating from drive to reverse ?? None of my mounts seem to move/compress much, nor does the top mount appear to be broken. Buty the engine does rock backwards and forwards a little, with a thunp from the transmission. I guess the max movement at the engine mounts might be in the order of 0.25 inches, the movement at the top torque restraint is maybe 3/8 inches...

Do my mounts need changing, or not?
