850 In NYC 850

I just purchased an 850 and live in NYC. The suspension seems to be fine on smooth roads but once it starts hitting potholes it seems as the car is going to fall apart. The car has 140,000 miles but has new struts.

Are there any others that live in NYC? If so, what are your experiences driving it this pothole ridden city.
