Ok.

This is my dilemma..... (if you can call it that). I have a 96 850 GLT i bought for $10,500 with 56000 miles 1 1/2 years ago and not it has 74000 miles. Anyhow, i have kept up with the maintainance and now it needs some work

1: Abs/Tracs module replacement for $513 (parts and labour)
2: Starter possibly fpr $320 (parts and labour)
3: Creaking noise from suspension. I dont know what the repair will be on it.


All in all i am looking at spending close to $1000 in repairs. Now with 74000 miles do i suck it up and spend that kind of money on the repairs hoping AND praying nothing else goes wrong.

I plan on keeping the car for atelast another 2 years or sell it/trade it in for a newer V70..... yes i will be spending more money but it will give me a peace of mind and a bigger payment which i am not very crazy about.

So what would you do........... the faithful 850 owners........ invest in the repairs on get another one with lower miles. I can get a 99 V70 GLT with 37K miles (volvo certified) for $19000
