My wife was driving the S80 T-6 last week and she got "ABS service required" message. The message cancelled itself when the engine was turned off. The same message reappeared about a week later and cancelled while still driving. It has been about three weeks and the system is operating with no faults popping up in the window. I have about three months left on the warranty, and am scheduled for an appointment to check the ABS out. Since I received the msg. two different times I am assuming the ABS module is about to fail. Do you think the service department will replace the module due to these two episodes or am I going to be the loser here when the warranty expires and two days later the ABS module fails! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I also plan on getting the transmission fluid flushed and filter replaced. the service dept. qouted me about 125 dollars for the service. Does that sound about right? Thanks.. Dave '99 S80 T-6, '95 850
