Roof Rail seal cracked and perished 850

Hi All

Some time ago I inquired if there were any replacement parts available to replace the shrinking and cracking rubber seal along the each of the roof rails on an 855. I was originally told by the Volvo dealer I would have to replace the entire roof bars (roof racks). I few people with same problem responded with the same problem and some home repairs, I just thought I would let you know there is now a seal kit available from Volvo for those who would like to replace this part on the 855.

The Volvo part number is 9178 681-4 Seal Kit (service kit) and it is not expensive....

I hope this is of help to 855 owners with factory euro rails.
