Cruise Control Not Working 850 1994

I have a 94 850 Turbo that I just bought about a month or two ago. I've had a few minor issues with it so far like the drivers side seat heater not working. (easy fix thanks to this message board) it was just the wires that connect to the thermostat. The problem I have is that the cruise control doesn't work at all. I have a Haynes manual, but all that gives me is a brief description of how the system generally works. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on where to look and what to look for would be greatly appreciated
