Front Drive train noise 850 1997

I recently came to the conclusion that a 'grinding' sort of noise that my 97 855 was making was coming from the front right wheel bearing/hub assembly. The noise was most noticeable while braking under 20mph and the worst just before coming to a complete stop. I was not very noticeable during acceleration.

I just finished installing a new hub assembly. (pain in the butt) and took the car for a test drive. THE NOISE WAS WORSE!!! I am really at a loss now. It is not a brake noise, and it is not clicking like a CV. The only thing I can think of now is perhaps the right hand drive shaft support bearing.

I have done some searching and have not been able to find any information on diagnosing this problem. After dropping $150 on a hub that may n ot have needed replacing, I want to be pretty sure before I start spending money and tearing things apart.

Any first hand experiences with this issue would be most appreciated OR a link to a known resource on the web.

I just bought a 95 855 T5R and I need to get this 97 ready to sell ASAP. Please Help!!!
