??? CD changer does not operate? :( 850 1993

I just got the car a week ago; it has dealer installed trunk 6 cd changer. I guess cd changer probably died on previous owner.

It does not show any signs of life. A CD is right in there but won't play, magazine won't eject. I checked the fuse is OK, radio and tape works fine.

Does anybody know of any remedy besides getting a new one?

Please HELP!
