my '96 850 t5 has developed a annoying fault, when stating the car cold instead of the revs getting to about 1500rpm and then dropping to idle instead they get to 2000rpm hang there for a second or so and then drop to idle.
there have been no ecu codes and the dealer says nothing is wrong because there are no ecu codes i have checked the vacumn pipes and lubricated the throttle links but the problem still remains.
with the weather getting colder i'm a bit worried that the engine is getting damaged when this happens every morning!!!
any help please
